Job Description

**This is a Monday through Friday position from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. shift. **

 

Position Summary:

Direct all Maintenance related activities in support of Plant activities to produce high quality products while operating the Plant in a safe, efficient manner for both personnel and products.

​

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the condition and upkeep of all plant equipment.

  • Direct, schedule, and document the Preventive Maintenance Program.

  • Control the Maintenance parts inventory levels.

  • Meet budget guidelines by operating plant equipment in a safe, efficient method for both personnel and product.

  • Develop, train, schedule, and discipline staff as required to meet performance expectations.

 

Key Activities:

  • Plan and schedule all plant Maintenance activities.

  • Oversee all Maintenance programs and the data generated.

  • Ensure continuing plant operations as scheduled.

  • Maintain outside vendor contacts as required.

  • Maintain plant equipment in optimal, operating conditions.

  • Direct all incoming and outgoing Inventory activities.

  • Participate in all budgeting/planning activities.

  • Train staff as required.

  • Administer the Master Sanitation Schedule for Maintenance Custodians

  • Responsible for following and enforcing Safety (OSHA) regulations and procedures.

  • Responsible for complying to all Safe Quality Food (SQF) polices/procedures and requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.

 

Skills Required:

  • Ability to read gauges, thermometers, and fine tools.

  • Ability to operate/program Plant equipment.

  • Ability to operate forklift.

  • Good problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Supervisory skills.

  • Basic Math Skills.

Necessary Experience:

 

  • Forklift certification

  • Packing machine training

  • CIP equipment operation

  • Basic computer skills

  • General machinery knowledge
