Job Description

**This is a Monday through Friday position from 8:00 am. to 4:00 p.m. shift. ** Overtime as needed. 

 

Position Summary:

This position splits responsibilities between Warehouse and Sanitation duties.   Support the warehouse function with inventory responsibilities and shipping/receiving activities. Perform sanitation duties as trained within the Plant Master Sanitation Schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accurately ship/receive good and/or products & inspect and notify management immediately if you suspect sabotage, mis-labeling or any other unusual occurrence.

• Use plant equipment to perform inventory control functions on a timely basis.

• Operate forklifts in a Safe manner.

• Load and unload all trucks.

• Assist in the performance of sanitation duties as scheduled.

• Maintain and document all required information for the Warehouse and Maintenance functions as trained.

Key Activities:

• Use handheld electronic scanning devices to perform inventory control functions.

• Complete all required plan records for audit purposes.

• Load or unload trucks.

• Verify shipping document accuracy and follow plant shipping procedures.

• Perform sanitation duties throughout the plant as required.

• Place orders as required to maintain required inventory levels.

• Document trailer inspections.

• Conduct cycle/physical counts per required schedule.

• Maintain all required documentation for the activities assigned.

Necessary Experience:

• Ability to operate various style forklifts.

• Basic math skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Good organization skills on time utilization.

• Ability to work with limited direct supervision.

•  Basic sanitation understanding.

Physical Abilities Needed:

• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs.

• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.

• Must be able to reach, climb, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.

• Must be able to work in a variety of temperature ranges.
