Job Description

**This is a Monday through Friday position from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Shift **

 

Position Summary:

This general labor position assists the production supervisor and / or Class I or II with various daily activities including, but not limited to, promoting labor efficiency, championing quality and sanitary objectives, and supporting training needs as required. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload ingredients, raw material and finish goods.

  • Cycle count

  • Clean in place (CIP)

  • Transfer curd pump

  • Manufacture paprika slurry

  • Palletizer

  • Responsible for all duties included in class IV

 

Key Activities:

  • General clean up, wash and sanitize.

  • Chemical concentrations.

  • S&R, processing, forming, packaging forms.

  • Cycle count.

  • Inventory checks.

  • Inventory movement.

  • WMS/ERP system.

  • CIP pasteurizer, paprika tank, CIP#2.

  • Moisture checks.

  • Salt application.

  • Palletizer.

  • Effective communication with supervisors, employees, quality assurance and maintenance.

  • Make sure all equipment, floor is clean and sanitize prior to start the shift.

  • Follows standard operating procedures.

  • Assist Lead and /or operator on daily activities.

  • Report mechanical issues to supervisors immediately.

  • Work well and have a good communication with all other co-workers. 

  • Identifies, corrects, and communicates product defects.

  • Follow GMP’s, sanitation procedures, and quality procedures as set forth by QA and/or supervisors.

  • Support class I and class II in forming, processing, and packaging.

  • When needed, cover class II responsibilities.

  • Responsible for complying to all Safe Quality Food (SQF) polices/procedures and requirements. 

  • Responsible for any other activity as directed by supervisor.

  • Efficient line operation.

  • Accident frequency rate.

  • Identify problems and provide solutions.

  • Maintenance of loss allowance standards.

Necessary Experience:

  • High School or equivalent (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) preferred

  • Basic Mechanical Experience (preferred)
