Job Description

**This is a Monday through Friday position from 7:00 am. to 4:00 p.m. shift. **

 

Position Summary:

V&V Supremo’s Full-time retail merchandiser position works with our retail customers to maximize market exposure, ensure proper POP/POS and promotional information, and assists with product presentation.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement product plan-o-grams at store level based on: sales, trade area and competitive information. On an ongoing basis ensure customers are displaying the product based on V&V plan-o-grams.

  • Work together with sales team to obtain additional sales by increasing product allocation space for V&V products.

  • Ensure store has proper and updated POP/POS and promotional signage materials in the store.

  • Ensure proper inventory rotation and shelf stock conditions at the store level.

  • Provide merchandising counseling recommendations to retailer in order to maximize their sales and profit.

  • Work off a category product plan-o-gram to stock shelves and merchandise product.

  • Monitor V&V Supremo Product’s space allocation.

  • Develop with Sales Representative a plan to increase sales opportunities base on merchandising plans or recommendations.

  • Ensure V&V store signage is up to date and is placed in the most effective location to have the most impact for the consumer to see.

  • Be a key source of competitive information.

  • Responsible for complying to all Safe Quality Food (SQF) polices/procedures and requirements for position.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Necessary Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to work weekends if necessary.

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Creative individual problem solver.

  • Effective time management and ability to plan and schedule your daily activities.

  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.

  • Merchandising Experience (1 Yr.+).

  • Bilingual (English / Spanish).

  • Familiar with Mexican Dairy Product Category.

  • Grocery Store Merchandising/Operations Knowledge.
