Job Description

**This is a Monday through Friday position from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. shift. **

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for product put away and replenishing picking area accurately. Assist in checking all orders prior to shipment. In addition, train all new warehouse employees and assist Warehouse supervisor in other functions.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to drive safely Stand up Fork lift to stage product on the racks and all Material Handling Equipment.

  • Put product away product according to Company procedures and replenish Picking areas as well.

  • Follow FIFO procedure at all times.

  • Ability to train others using companies training procedures and training guide.

  • Must be able to read reports provide by Supervisor and use them as a tool to help him rotate product following FIFO.

 

Key Activities:​

  • Responsible for complying with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) polices/procedures and requirements for position.

  • Responsible for the proper operation of electric pallet trucks, sit down forklift and stand up within the warehouse.

  • Responsible for the proper rotation of product to be replenished at picking location.

  • Put away product according to FIFO procedure.

  • Help load and unload trucks.

  • Assisting all pickers with product needed while picking any order/transfers.

  • Cycle count items when indicated.

  • Obey all safety regulations at all times.

  • Assists to pick orders/Transfers when needed.

  • Train all new employees in picking and use of equipment.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Performance Metrics:

  • Replenish product accurately.

  • Move product accurately using WMS system.

  • Rotation of product physically and systematically at ASC.

  • Cycle count accuracy.

  • Error free when handling product Storing/Replenishing picking areas.

Skills Required:

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to learn quickly.

  • Industry experience.

  • Ability to read English.

  • Adaptable to change/learns quickly.

  • Action-oriented.

  • Knowledge of using pallet rider/electric jack.

  • Ability to train other co-workers at picking, using system.

 

Necessary Experience:

  • Minimum 2-year experience stand forklift and warehouse environment.

  • Certified forklift driver.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience working in a high volume facility and capable of working in a cooler environment of 32-40 degrees.

  • Self-discipline and mature worker willing to be part of a “Team Work.”
